The Race for the Golden Owl

The Golden Owl Trophy is all about spending quality time with your fellow Owls to make your college experience even more memorable. This program encourages you to dive into campus life by participating in various campus-wide events, from exciting athletic games to engaging student activities. By joining forces with your friends in registered student organizations, fraternities, sororities, or Club Sports, you’ll not only boost your involvement but also strengthen your connections and create lasting memories together.

Guidelines

To be eligible to receive The Golden Owl Trophy, an organization must:

Points and Tracking
Groups receive points based on percentage of roster in attendance. Event attendance is tracked through RSVPs on Owl Life events and tap-ins with Talon card or Mobile Credentials at events.

Greek Life

ELIGIBILITY AND CATEGORIES

Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), Club Sports, Fraternities, and Sororities. 

  • Small (0-50)
  • Medium (51-100)
  • Large (101+)

Rewards

Each category (small, medium, and large) are eligible to win the Golden Owl Trophy with their Organization or Club Sport engraved on the trophy. 

Organization Category Winners will receive up to $500 in organizational support. This funding can be applied toward the following:

  • Tent
  • Tabling and promotional materials
  • Conference registration (up to $500)
  • Programming funding (up to $500)
  • Organization merchandise (e.g., t-shirts, promotional items)

The Division of Student Affairs will process all funding requests. To utilize the organizational support, winning organizations must remain in good standing during the Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Fall 2025 semesters.
