The School of Government and International Affairs is proud to announce its 2025 Faculty
Award winners, recognizing outstanding contributions in teaching, research, and community
engagement. Congratulations to Dr. Alicia Barnes, Dr. Stephen Collins, Dr. Joshua
Johnson, and Dr. Rebecca LeFebvre for their exceptional achievements!
The School of Government and International Affairs is thrilled to celebrate the winners
of our 2025 Faculty Awards! These outstanding faculty members have gone above and
beyond in teaching, research, and service, making a meaningful impact on our students
and community.
Here are this year’s honorees:
- Dr. Alicia Barnes – Outstanding Early Career Faculty: Dr. Barnes has made incredible strides early in her career, bringing fresh ideas and
energy to our school through her research, teaching, and community service including
her federally funded election workers project.
- Dr. Stephen Collins – Outstanding Professional Service and Community Engagement Award: Dr. Collins is recognized for his work for service to the SGIA community and beyond
and creating opportunities that make a real difference beyond the classroom.
- Dr. Joshua Johnson – Outstanding Teaching Award: Dr. Johnson’s engaging teaching style has made a lasting impact on his students and reflects his passion for education.
- Dr. Rebecca LeFebvre – Outstanding Online Teaching Award: Dr. LeFebvre is a leader in online education, crafting interactive and accessible
courses that set the standard for excellence.
We’re so proud of these faculty members for their dedication and contributions to the SGIA community. Their work continues to elevate our school and inspire everyone around them.
