妖姬直播Mathematics Competition

The 妖姬直播Mathematics Competition is an annual competition sponsored by the Department of Mathematics, College of Science and Mathematics, and 妖姬直播 (KSU), a division of the State University of Georgia, and the third largest university in Georgia.

This competition is an annual mathematics contest for Georgia high school students, both public and private. Each Georgia high school will receive a packet of information about the competition by mid-September.

Registration Deadlines and Competition Dates

Online registration will be available in the last week of August. Contest materials will be emailed to registered schools at least one week before the competition date (listed below). The contest is administered at individual high schools.

  • 2025-2026 Competition Part I 鈥�
    • Registration Deadline: Wednesday, October 20, 2025
    • Competition Part I: Wednesday, October 29, 2025
  • 2025-2026 Competition Part II 鈥� Tuesday, February 3, 2026

 

How Does it Work?

Part I

Administered in a convenient 90-minute block of time during or after the school day at the student's high school. There are 25 multiple-choice questions, ranging in difficulty, covering all levels of pre-calculus mathematics included in the Georgia state high school mathematics curriculum. Scored at KSU.

Part II

Students scoring in the top 5%鈥�10% statewide on Part I will be invited to participate in Part II. Administered in a convenient 2-hour block of time during or after the school day at the student's high school. There will be 5 open-ended questions, some requiring justification, and ALL requiring process to be shown. A committee of the 妖姬直播Department of Mathematics faculty will read and score the papers.

The Results

The 30 students with the highest composite scores (Part I & II) statewide will be invited to an awards ceremony and reception at 妖姬直播, along with their parents, mathematics teachers, and principals. Also attending will be the KSU mathematics faculty.

The April reception will include refreshments and a mathematics presentation by a member of the Department of Mathematics at 妖姬直播.

Awards

All students invited to the awards ceremony will receive plaques/certificates.
